WELCOME TO ROOTED AND RISING 🌿✨

Hi — I’m Rachel.

I’m 40, a mom of three, married almost 15 years, and someone who genuinely loves building a life that feels good.

I love coffee, running, being outside with my kids, traveling, Disney World… all of it. I’ve always been someone who sets goals, follows through, and creates the kind of life I want to live.

I built a career in finance.
Worked full-time while raising my kids.
Helped our family become debt-free.

I’ve always been the one who figures things out.
And for a long time, I did.

Then things started to feel harder than they should

A few years ago, I noticed a shift.

My energy dropped.
I was experiencing brain fog…
I felt more overwhelmed doing things I used to handle easily.

For a long time, I blamed it on stress.

Learning what was actually going on

But eventually, it started to feel like it was more than that.

So I began asking better questions.
Talking to my doctor.
Looking into things I had never thought much about before.

That’s when I learned about perimenopause.

And suddenly, things started to make sense.

The brain fog.
The fatigue.
The constant feeling of being overstimulated.

It wasn’t just stress.
It wasn’t just being busy.

There was a reason behind it.

Eventually, I decided to try HRT — specifically testosterone.
And that decision changed a lot for me.

My head felt clearer.
My energy came back.
I could think, focus, and show up the way I was used to.

The part that stuck with me the most

Looking back, I didn’t struggle because I couldn’t handle life.
I struggled because I didn’t understand what my body needed.

And I know I’m not the only one.

So many women are walking around feeling this way —
still showing up, still doing everything —
but quietly wondering why it feels harder than it used to.

This blog exists so fewer women have to stay in that place.

What changed for me

Once I started understanding what was going on in my body, I also started noticing something else.

I wasn’t just tired — I was constantly “on.”

Rushed.
Overstimulated.
Always thinking about the next thing.

That’s when I started learning how to actually support my nervous system.

Making small, realistic changes.
And that shifted everything.

I had more patience.
More clarity.
More peace.

I felt calmer in my day-to-day life — not just more productive.

And that changed how I showed up as a mom, a wife, and a person.

What you’ll find here

This space is where I share what I’ve learned — and what I’m still learning.

We talk about:
• perimenopause and hormones
• symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, and feeling “off”
• how to support your energy without burning yourself out
• simple ways to feel more calm and less overwhelmed
• motherhood in this season and everything that comes with it

And also just real life — family, routines, what’s working, what’s not.

Welcome

If you’re here, I’m really glad you found this space.

This is for women who want to feel like themselves again —
clear, calm, and in control of how they show up in their lives.

Rooted in who they are.
And rising into what’s next.

— Rachel 🌿✨
